Getting from Girona Airport to Barcelona city center is easy and there are several options available.
By bus – The buses are waiting outside the terminal. A return ticket costs approximately € 21. Bus company is called Sagal and the bus stops in Barcelona at the Estació del Nord. The journey takes about 1hr 30 min.
From here you can either take a taxi to your hotel or Metro L1 that stops by Plaza Catalunya. Do not forget to check what time the bus will return to Girona on the day of your departure.
Taxi – For those who have plenty of money.
Around € 175 you must pay to Barcelona.
Rental Car:Â Within the terminal you will find the major rental car companies: Holiday Autos, Avis, Hertz and Europcar.

There are three ways to go from from Barcelona airport to the city center:
Taxi – Taxi fares in Barcelona are pretty cheap. A taxi ride from the airport to City Center will cost around 30 €. However, there are many dishonest taxi drivers who put on their “own” taxes.
Be not surprised if the driver adds on a few euros once the taxi stopped, they are allowed by law to add € 1 per bag and € 3 for travel to and from the airport.
Aerobus – Barcelona airport bus is waiting just outside all 3 airport terminals. They cost € 5 per person and takes about 30 minutes into the city center. The bus is blue and stops at 6 different locations in the city.

Gran Via / Urgell (the middle of the Eixample)
Plaza Universitat (Beside University, Pl. Catalunya)
Plaza Catalunya (Center, La Rambla, El Corte Inglés)
Pg Grà cia / Diputació (La Pedrera, Casa Batlló)
Sants Estació (Central Train station)
Renfe – is the name of Barcelona’s commuter trains. This is the cheapest option to get into the city center. A train departs every half hour.
