The Spanish Formula 1 runs every year at the Montmelo track located approximately 35 km north of Barcelona.
An exciting event that every year attracts more than 300 000 spectators. 2010 will be special as Spanish driver Fernando Alonso will be driving for Ferrari.
The next F1 will run in Barcelona on May 7-9 2010. Please observe that the dates are just provisional and could change.

How do I get to the track?
The easiest and fastest way to Montmelo is to take the local commuter train RENFE, there are 2 trains leaving every hour. From Montmelo it's a 20-minute walk to the circuit. The RENFE C2 line Barcelona-Montmelo departs from Sants train station and stops at Passeig de Gracia and at El Clot. The train journey is approximately 25 minutes.
By car or taxi
A Taxi costs about €90 for a single fare. Most taxi companies have a fixed price to and from the circuit, make sure you ask for it.
f you are driving yourself, follow the AP-7 north of Barcelona.
Parking is available at the circuit but you should book in advance.
Where should I book a hotel?
Booking a hotel close to the track is not recommended. You are better off booking a hotel in Barcelona since it's only a 25 minutes train ride to the circuit.

Important things to remember:
Bring earplugs! The noise level is VERY high.
Find a spot in front of one of the big screens. This makes it easier to follow the race.
Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. It can be very hot and the sun very strong.
You are only allowed to bring plastic bottles, NOT glass bottles. So if you want to bring your own beer, I recommend that you buy 1-litre plastic bottles (bring a cooler box, most people do). Beer, water and food are for sale at the track but it's quite expensive.
And last but not least: if you haven't bought a seat ticket you have to go there early! Last year we arrived at the track at 7.30 am and we still had problems finding a good spot.
